Abstract

Abstract

Museums assist, explain, and transfer the values of the culture they describe with their influential role. Museums in Turkey include sustainable cultural heritage discourses. In this respect, museums are preferential institutions that reveal forms of cultural expression and convey interpretations of the past. It has been seen in the twenty-first century that it is significantfor museums that meet with COVID-19 to improve themselves and serve this purpose. Museums build a bridge between the past and the present by storing memory and establishing a connection with the future. Museums with authority keep leading institutions in shaping the accumulation and memory of the public by using the cultural past’s power. This paper discusses cultural heritage, richness, memory, and past connections of museums and considers them specific to Mardin Museum.
