AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Maltepe Academic Review is a nationally refereed journal published twice a year (in June and December).

The journal accepts manuscripts in the form of articles and case studies. These submissions must not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Manuscripts may be written in either Turkish or English. Upon acceptance for publication, Maltepe Academic Review reserves all publication rights.

Initial evaluation of submitted manuscripts is conducted by the editorial board in terms of their compliance with the journal’s writing guidelines and scope. Submissions deemed appropriate are scanned using internationally recognized similarity detection software (excluding properly cited direct quotations, references, and footnotes in accordance with academic standards). Manuscripts with a similarity rate exceeding 20% will be returned to the author(s) without further review, accompanied by the similarity report.

Following this stage, the manuscript is sent to two referees. Based on the referees’ reports, the editorial board will decide whether the manuscript should be accepted for publication, revised in accordance with the feedback, rejected, or sent to a third reviewer. The author(s) will be notified of the decision promptly.

Revisions requested from the author(s) must be submitted to the editorial board within 15 days for minor revisions and within 30 days for major revisions.

Article Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc format via the DergiPark system.

Copyright Policy
All copyrights of articles and materials accepted for publication belong to Maltepe Academic Review. The copyright transfer form must be signed by all authors and uploaded to the system.

Privacy Statement
Names and addresses provided in this journal will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the journal and will not be used for any other purpose or shared with third parties.
