Our Experience of Transcutaneous Nerve Mapping Guided Bilateral Axillary Block in A Case of Multiple Trauma

Year 2015, Volume: 7 Issue: 3, 1 - 3, 01.12.2015

Abstract

Brachial plexus blockade is a suitable technique for surgery of the forearm, because it offers faster resilience, better analgesia, lesser adverse effects and more patient comfort. Axillary block is the one of the most applied kind of brachial plexus blockades. However, synchronous blockade of both upper extremities has rarely been performed, because systemic toxicity and related complications may be a problem. Our experiences about anesthesia management in a 74 years old patient, with comorbidities, undergone operation by orthopedics, with transcutaneous nerve mapping technique guided bilateral axillary block with neurostimulator are described here under the light of current literatüre.

Multitravmalı Bir Olguda Transkutanöz Sinir Haritalama Tekniğiyle Bilateral Aksiller Blok Deneyimimiz

Year 2015, Volume: 7 Issue: 3, 1 - 3, 01.12.2015
