Abstract

Abstract
This study aims to determine the views of physicians working in an accredited private hospital on shared decision-making (SDM) processes within the context of person-centered care. Conducted between November 2023 and January 2024, the study included 152 physicians who voluntarily participated via an online survey. Data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0. The findings revealed that most physicians allocated sufficient time for SDM, inquired about patients' expectations regarding quality of life, and discussed alternative treatment options. Demographic variables such as age, experience, and area of practice significantly influenced physicians' perspectives on SDM. The study concludes that SDM, as a component of patient-centered care, has the potential to enhance not only patient satisfaction but also treatment adherence and the overall quality of clinical decision-making.
