The aim of this study is that employment situation of qualified personnel which is accepted as one of greatest problems in companies having activity on furniture sector, education at vocational school of higher education and personnel need of furniture sector were tried to be analysed. Sector's situation related to this aim, scientific studies, sector reports and vocational publications were reviewed, on sample furniture and decoration, training was reviewed through current courses and applications. Teaching in the undergraduate level in Turkey belongs to Furniture and Decoration Department, information has been included. Thus, it was tried to reveal main reasons why companies and education institutions could not have reached solutions with problems. Consequently, the following cases emerged that schools were not able to introduce efficiently, relations between companies and education institutions were not at efficient level, relevant persons and institutions could not produce projects in efficient numbers and on relevant issues about the sector's problem. On this study, suggestions related to education managers and human resources managers of companies were involved.
