Relationship between microalbuminuria and renal dysfunction in essential hypertension

Year 1998, Volume: 11 Issue: 3, 146 - 151, 01.07.1998

Abstract

Objective: Microalbuminuria has been reported to

vary between 10-30 % in essential hypertension (EH)

and to be associated with increased cardiovascular

(CV) mortality and morbidity. A cohort of 250 patients

with essential hypertension were studied for the

prevalence of microalbuminuria and its association

with other target organ damage.
