MARMARA ÜNİVERSİTESİ HASTANESİ ACİL SERVİSİNE BAŞVURAN TRAVMA HASTALARININ DEMOGRAFİK ÖZELLİKLERİ

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Marmara Üniversitesi Hastanesi Acil Tıp Anabilim Dalı’na başvuran travma hastalarının demografik özelliklerini saptamaktır. Gereç ve Yöntem: 1 Ocak – 31 Aralık 2004 tarihleri arasında acil servisimize başvuran travma vakaları retrospektif olarak protokol defteri ve hasta dosyalarından incelendi. Toplamda çalışmaya alınma kriterlerine uygun 636 vaka kaydına ulaşıldı. Çalışmaya alınan vakaların yaş, cinsiyet, travma özellikleri, yatış, taburculuk, mortalite ve morbidite oranları göz önüne alındı. Vakalar lokal ve multipl travma olarak iki ana gruba ayrıldı. Bu parametreye göre yatış oranları ve bu oranları belirleyen koşullar hesaplandı. Analiz için chi-kare ve Fischer’s Exact test kullanıldı, p < 0.05 olan istatistiksel farklılıklar anlamlı olarak kabul edildi. Bulgular: Acil servise başvuran 636 travma hastası bu çalışmaya alındı. Vakaların çoğu erkek (%67) olup medyan yaşları 42’dir. Başvuran lokal ve multiple yaralanma vakalarının sayısı arasında anlamlı fark bulunmazken, multipl travma hastaları anlamlı olarak daha fazla yatırılmıştır. En sık yaralanma mekanizması düşmelerdir. Yandaş hastalık varlığı belirgin olarak fazladır. En fazla travma hastası Nisan-Haziran 2004 arasında başvurmuştur. Sonuç: Vaka dağılımları ve demografik özellikleri daha önce başka Acil Tıp Anabilim Dalları tarafından yapılan çalışmalardaki sonuçlarla benzerlik göstermekle beraber aynı bölgede bulunan diğer hastanelerdeki çalışmalara göre hastanemiz acil servisine daha yaşlı, yandaş hastalığı daha fazla olan düşme hastaları başvurmaktadır.
