EFFECTS OF EDUCATION INSTITUONS ON STIMULATED INVESTMENTS: EXAMPLES OF KOSE, KELKIT AND SIRAN VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS

Abstract

Higher education institutions provide social and cultural contributions to the regions where they are established. In recent years, the higher education have been used as a way to develop of region besides, the function of education. In this manner, the current policy which are called “ an university for each city” causes to develop the city and they also provide economic sources to the regions and this function gives a life to the regional economy autonomously. Thanks to this policy, the universities are located in each city and these universities are transferring economic resources to the region. It serves as a autonomous investment One of the basic assumptions of the Keynesian model is a concept of autonomous investment in return for the economic vitality. In this example, the universities through the region affected by the economic expectations and investment decision makers’ stimulated investments are affected. In this study, three different vocational colleges with different capacities are located in three towns with different histories, and their effects on investments decisions are investigated by using a questionnaire.
