EFFECTS OF EDUCATION INSTITUONS ON STIMULATED INVESTMENTS: EXAMPLES OF KOSE, KELKIT AND SIRAN VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS

Abstract

Higher education institutions provide social and cultural contributions to the regions where they are established. In recent years, the higher education have been used as a way to develop of region besides, the function of education. In this manner, the current policy which are called “ an university for each city” causes to develop the city and they also provide economic sources to the regions and this function gives a life to the regional economy autonomously. Thanks to this policy, the universities are located in each city and these universities are transferring economic resources to the region. It serves as a autonomous investment One of the basic assumptions of the Keynesian model is a concept of autonomous investment in return for the economic vitality. In this example, the universities through the region affected by the economic expectations and investment decision makers’ stimulated investments are affected. In this study, three different vocational colleges with different capacities are located in three towns with different histories, and their effects on investments decisions are investigated by using a questionnaire.

EĞİTİM ÖĞRETİM KURUMLARININ UYARILMIŞ YATIRIMLAR ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİ: KÖSE, KELKİT VE ŞİRAN MYO ÖRNEKLERİ

Abstract

Yükseköğretim kurumları, kuruldukları yörelere ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel katkılar sağlamaktadır. Son yıllarda bu etkinin bilinciyle yükseköğretim kurumlarının eğitim öğretim fonksiyonunun yanında bir kalkınma ve gelişme aracı olarak kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Güncel ifadesiyle “Her ile bir üniversite” olarak da bilinen bu politika sayesinde şu an için her ilimizde bir üniversite yer almakta ve bu üniversiteler yöreye kaynak aktarılmasını sağlayan ve ekonomik canlılığı sürdüren birer otonom yatırım işlevi görmektedir Keynesyen Model’in temel varsayımlarından birisi olan otonom yatırım kavramının bir karşılığı olarak üniversitelerin, yöreye getirdiği ekonomik canlılık sayesinde ekonomik beklentileri ve karar birimlerinin “uyarılmış” yatırımlarını etkilediği görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada birbirinden farklı kapasitelere ve tarihçelere sahip olan üç ilçeye kurulmuş olan meslek yüksekokullarının bulundukları yörelerdeki beklentiler ve yatırım kararları üzerindeki etkileri anket uygulamaları ile test edilmeye çalışılmıştır
