The Exergy Efficiency Analysis of Organic Rankine Cycle

Abstract

In this study, the exergy efficiency analysis of organic Rankine cycle (ORC) was carried out. R123 and SES 36 were used in system as refrigerants. The necessary thermodynamic values for analyses were calculated by Solkane program. The exergy efficiency rate of the system in the different operating conditions were investigated for these refrigerants. As a result, the highest exergy efficiency rate of the organic Rankine cycle (ORC) was obtained for 40 oC the condenser temperature, 60 oC for stream generator temperature and 0.6916 kg/s for mass flow and about %35 for exergy efficiency.
