INTERUNIVERSITY DIFFERENCES IN TEACHING PLANS OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM AND SECTOR EXPECTATIONS

Abstract

The rapid development in the construction sector in our country has increased the demand for construction technology programs of vocational schools. Many universities are full of quotas for the construction technology program. On the other hand, the courses taught in this department are an important question that whether the industry meets expectations or not. Construction technology teaching plans that differ between universities leads to a significant difference in quality among the students who have graduated. Firms operating in the construction sector and public institutions complain that they can not reach the intermediate staff required by the times.

In this study, the differences among ten universities' vocational school construction technology program teaching plans were examined.  In addition, in the light of the appreciations made with the sector representatives, the answer to the question of whether the teaching plans could respond adequately was searched.
