ELECTROMAGNETIC SHIELDING PROPERTIES OF WOOD COMPOSITE MATERIALS BY COATING METHOD
Abstract
Rapidly evolving
technology brings innumerable innovations that make human life easier. Because
of the electromagnetic field produced by all kinds of device developed, it
affects the human nature negatively in the long run. When a living organism is
exposed to electromagnetic fields in the frequency range of 10 kHz - 3 GHz, ion
balance will be impaired and cell renewal will be negatively affected if the
duration of action is prolonged. For this reason, it is necessary to develop
materials that can minimize the loss without wasting time. For this purpose,
the electromagnetic shielding ability at 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2400
MHz frequencies was quantified by coating the wood composite materials which we
used widely in daily life with copper conductor.
