AN INVESTIGATION TOWARDS DETERMINING WORK SATISFACTION OFASSISTANT ACCOUNTING STAFF: THE ISTANBUL EXAMPLE

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the levels of work satisfaction of professionals working in independent accountancy and financial advising (SMMM) offices in Istanbul and their demographic characteristics. The Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire were implemented for 320 accounting professionals working in SMMM offices in 2015 in 29 districts of Istanbul and the data were analysed with the SPSS 20 statistical analysis software. In general, work satisfaction levels of accounting professionals taking part in the questionnaire was determined as 66.59%.
