Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma (Report of Four Cases)

Abstract

Although exceedingly rare, anaplastic thyroid carcinoma is the most aggressive solid tumor known. Early studies on the effects of different therapies may be biased due to inclusion of thyroid lymphoma patients among responsive small cell anaplastic carcinoma cases. Ultimately, nearly all anaplastic thyroid carcinoma patients die from their disease which is widely metastatic. In this report, four cases of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma are being presented.
