Scleral-fixated intraocular lens implantation techniques

Abstract

The ideal location of intraocular lens implantation is the posterior chamber. The capsular bag is left during the cataract operations in order to implant the intraocular lens in the position of the crystalline lens and the artificial lens is applied inside this bag. When the capsular bag is not protected we think fixating the intraocular lens into the iridocorneal angle, iris or sclera. The scleral-fixated intraocular lens implantations have developed very much since the day the technique has been invented. Today there are a lot of scleral fixation techniques, sutured or sutureless, and they are used for a lot of different indications. In this review I will describe these techniques concisely.

Skleraya sabitlenen göz içi lensi uygulama teknikleri

Abstract

Göz içi lens uygulamalarında en uygun konum arka kamaradır. İnsanın kendi lensinin bulunduğu konuma uygulama yapılabilmesi için katarakt cerrahilerinde lensin kapsülü uygun şekilde korunur ve içine yapay lens yerleştirilir. Kapsülün korunamadığı olgularda göz açısına, irise veya skleraya sabitlenen lens uygulamaları gündeme gelir. Skleraya sabitlenen göz içi lens uygulamaları ilk ortaya atıldığı günden itibaren büyük bir gelişme göstermiştir. Günümüzde dikişli ve dikişsiz olmak üzere çok sayıda ve çok değişik endikasyonlarla kullanılan skleraya sabitleme teknikleri bulunmaktadır. Bu derlemede özet olarak bu tekniklere yer verilecektir.
