Yaygın Anksiyete Bozukluğunda Nötrofil Lenfosit Oranı

Year 2020, Volume: 2 Issue: 3, 93 - 97, 26.10.2020
https://doi.org/10.37990/medr.774613

Abstract

Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio in Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Year 2020, Volume: 2 Issue: 3, 93 - 97, 26.10.2020

Abstract

Aim: We aimed to investigate neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (MLR) values in generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
Method: In this retrospective study, NLR and MLR of patients diagnosed with GAD (n=43) were compared with the data of healthy subjects (n=35).
Results: The patient and healthy control groups consisted of females and their mean ages were similar (p=0.298). Neutrophil count (p<0.001), percentage of neutrophil (p=0.008), and NLR (p=0.011) were significantly higher in the patient group. The percentage of lymphocyte was significantly higher in the control group (p=0.018). Monocyte count, lymphocyte count, percentage of monocyte, and MLR were similar between the groups (p>0.05).
Conclusion: This study is important in terms of showing the increase of neutrophil related parameters in GAD.
