Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine the effect of economic integration of immigrants on immigrant entrepreneurship. In this context, 347 data were collected from immigrants over the age of 18 living in the Istanbul province universe with the convenience sampling technique. Survey technique was used in data collection. Frequency, factor, correlation and regression analyses were applied to the obtained data. SPSS package program was used in the analysis. As a result of the factor analyses conducted, five factors emerged regarding the economic integration of immigrants. These are social state perception, compliance with the law, income status, starting a business and job opportunities. As a result of the factor analysis conducted regarding immigrant entrepreneurship, three factors emerged. These are risk taking, proactivity and innovation. According to the correlation analysis results, it was concluded that there are low-level positive correlations between the economic integration of immigrants and the dimensions of immigrant entrepreneurship. According to the multiple regression analysis results, it was concluded that compliance with the law, income status, starting a business and job opportunities have an effect on immigrant entrepreneurship.

GÖÇMENLERİN EKONOMİK ENTEGRASYONUNUN GÖÇMEN GİRİŞİMCİLİĞİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı göçmenlerin ekonomik entegrasyonunun göçmen girişimciliği üzerine etkisini incelemektir. Bu kapsamda İstanbul ili evreninde yaşayan 18 yaş üstü göçmenlerden kolayda örneklem tekniği ile 347 veri toplanmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında anket tekniği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere frekans, faktör, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri uygulanmıştır. Analizlerin yapılmasında SPSS paket programı kullanılmıştır. Yapılan faktör analizleri sonucunda göçmenlerin ekonomik entegrasyonu ile ilgili beş faktör ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunlar sosyal devlet algısı, gelir durumu, iş kurma, yasalara uyum ve iş olanaklarıdır. Göçmen girişimciliği ile ilgili yapılan faktör analizi sonucunda üç faktör ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunlar risk alma, proaktiflik, yenilikçiliktir. Korelasyon analizi sonuçlarına göre göçmenlerin ekonomik entegrasyonu ile göçmen girişimciliği boyutları arasında düşük düzeyde pozitif korelasyonların olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Çoklu regresyon analizi sonuçlarına göre yasalara uyumun, gelir durumunun, iş kurmanın ve iş olanaklarının göçmen girişimciliği üzerinde etkisinin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
