Tuba BAYKARA, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi'nde Doktor Öğretim Üyesi olarak çalışmaktadır. 2017 yılında Atatürk Üniversitesi İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü'nden "August Wilson'ın Söyleminde Afro-Amerikancılık: Eleştirel Bir Söylem Analizi" başlıklı teziyle doktora derecesini aldı. Araştırma ilgi alanları arasında Afro-Amerikan edebiyatı, kültürü ve toplumsal cinsiyet çalışmaları ile eleştirel söylem analizi yer almaktadır. Yayınları, kimlik politikaları, ideolojik sınırlar ve temsil gibi temel ilkeler altında siyahlığın karmaşıklıklarına dair eleştirel içgörüler sunan ırk, cinsiyet, tarih ve kültürün kesişimine özel bir vurgu yaparak Afro-Amerikan tiyatrosuna odaklanmaktadır. Bridging Cultures: Representation of Minorities in English and American Literature (2022) ve Kadının Edebi Temsilleri: Kadının Ederi mi Değeri mi? (2023) kitaplarının eş editörüdür. Araştırmaları ve editöryal projeleriyle edebiyat ve kültürel çalışmalar alanlarını zenginleştirerek, marjinal grupların temsillerine ilişkin derinlemesine yorumlar üretmeye devam etmektedir.

Merve Bekiryazıcı is an assistant professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Recep Tayyip Erdogan University/Turkey. She received her MA degree in Victorian Literature from the University of Liverpool/UK and completed her PhD at Ataturk University/Turkey. Her research interests include nineteenth-century literature, Neo-Victorian literature and posthumanism.

Prof. Dr. Arif SARIÇOBAN UFUK ÜNİVERSİTESİ

Prof. Dr. Arif Sarıçoban is a senior lecturer at Selçuk University in Turkey. Prof. Sarıçoban
holds his B.A. Degree in English Language Teaching (ELT) at 19 Mayıs University in 1986,
M.A in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at Bilkent University in 1989, and his
PhD in English Language Teaching (ELT) at Çukurova University in 1994. He started his
academic career as a research assistant in the department of English Language and
Literature at Yüzüncü Yıl University in 1987. Upon completion of his M.A. study, he was
appointed to the ELL Department at Gaziantep University where he worked as a research
assistant from 1990 to 1994 and as an assistant professor of ELL from1994 to 1997. Then,
he was appointed as an assistant professor of ELT at Hacettepe University in 1997. He was
awarded his associate professorship by the Board of Interuniversitary (UAK) in 2008. He has
been working as a professor of English Linguistics for 6 years at Selçuk University.
Prof. Sarıçoban has authored and edited many books in his field of study. He has published
numerous articles in the prestigious journals indexed in SSCI, AHCI, ERIC, SCOPUS, and
many others. He was invited as a Keynote Speaker to many international conferences,
seminars, congresses and also contributed as an oral presenter in many of these sorts of
events both nationally and internationally. During the pandemic days he was invited to make
speeches in many on-line webinars by different universities in our country.
Prof. Sarıçoban established the Association of English Language Teacher Educators
(AELTE) in Turkey in March 2021 and unanimously appointed as the President of this
association by the members of board. He has been organizing seminars, webinars, and
international conferences within this association. He also welcomes new members.
He is professionally interested in teacher training, teaching English as a second and/or
foreign language, bi/multilingualism, language use and attitudes, language learning,
language acquisition, language and identity, materials development in EFL/ESL, testing and
assessment, classroom management in language learning and teaching, and translation
techniques.

Prof. Dr. Arda Arıkan was born in Ankara in 1973. He completed his BA at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Letters, Department of American Culture and Literature. He worked as an instructor for three years at the School of Foreign Languages at Başkent University. He completed his doctorate at Pennsylvania State University, Faculty of Education, Science, Technology, and Society Doctoral Program in the United States, with a thesis examining the professional development of English instructors from a postmodern perspective. He has served as a faculty member at Hacettepe and Akdeniz Universities and taught courses at the University of Massachusetts, Applied Linguistics Graduate Program. To date, he has authored 15 books, 75 articles, more than 30 book chapters, presented nearly 200 scientific papers, and supervised 25 theses. He has a verifiable level of English (TOEFL, C2) and German (Goethe, A2), and working knowledge of French, Spanish, Latin, and Ottoman Turkish. He is an amateur medievalist, sculptor, and fan of animals and plants, and continues his studies in literature, education, and culture.

F.Gül Koçsoy graduated  from the Department of English Language and Literature at Ataturk University in Erzurum. She completed her MA on Katherine Anne Porter’s short fiction and her Doctorate on Willa Cather’s novels. After her graduation from the university, she worked as an English teacher for four years in Erzurum and as an instructor at Karadeniz Technical University in Trabzon for eight years. Currently, she works as an Associate Prof. Dr. at Firat University in Elazig, Turkey. Her research interests are American culture and literature. He teaches American literature. In recent years, she has taught academic writing, translation and textual analysis.
