In Turkish, the category of adverb is problematic both in terms of its identification and subcategorization. In this paper, first, I will provide a surface description of henüz and daha. Followingly, I will discuss certain semantic properties of these adverbs. I will particulary focus on the word order restrictions in sentences with the adverbs henüz and daha, and the interactions of these adverbs with negation.
