Abstract
Abstract Histological Analyses Methods of Meniscus In the experimental orthopaedic studies, it has been suggested to support biochemical, biomechanics analyses with histological analyses in the evaluation of cartilage healing models. In the histological evaluation of tissues, generally qualitative analyses have been applied, whereas quantitative analyses have been done on a limited scale or have never been done. Providing a scientific validity for the study is directly related to the choice of analytic methods in accordance with the aim, quantitation the parameters evaluated and their interpretations. From this point of view in this review, it has been attempted to present the methodology that can be applied in the histological preparation and analysis of meniscus tissue.

Abstract
Türkçe Özet: Deneysel ortopedik çalışmalarda, kıkırdak iyileşme modellerinin değerlendirilmesinde, biyokimyasal, biyomekanik incelemelerin histolojik incelemeler ile desteklenmesi önerilmektedir. Dokuların histolojik değerlendirilmesinde genellikle kalitatif incelemeler yapılırken kantitatif incelemeler sınırlı miktarlarda yapılmakta ya da hiç yapılmamaktadır. Çalışmanın bilimsel geçerliliğinin sağlanması, amaca uygun analitik metodların seçilmesi, değerlendirilecek parametrelerin kantite edilmesi ve bunların yorumlanmasıyla doğrudan ilişkilidir. Bu noktadan yola çıkarak bu derlemede, menisküs dokusunun histolojik preparasyonu ve incelemesinde kullanılabilecek metodoloji ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.

MEU Journal of Health Sciences Assoc was began to the publishing process in 2008 under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Gönül Aslan, Editor-in-Chief, and affiliated to Mersin University Institute of Health Sciences. In March 2015, Prof. Dr. Caferi Tayyar Şaşmaz undertook the Editor-in Chief position and since then he has been in charge.
Publishing in three issues per year (April - August - December), it is a multisectoral refereed scientific journal. In addition to research articles, scientific articles such as reviews, case reports and letters to the editor are published in the journal. Our journal, which has been published via e-mail since its inception, has been published both online and in print. Following the Participation Agreement signed with TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM Dergi Park in April 2015, it has started to accept and evaluate online publications.
