Abstract Negative Pressure Pulmonary Oedema Negative pressure pulmonary oedema following general anesthesia in early postoperative period is an uncommon and a life threatening complication. Postanesthetic laryngospam has been implicated as the most common cause of this syndrom in adult patients. This clinical condition occurs as a hypoxia followed short after ( 1-90 minutes) a laryngospasm. The principal goal for management of these cases are early diagnosis and to provide adequate arteriel oxygenation by maintaning the airway. Here, a negative pressure pulmonary oedema patient, resolved succesfully after treatment, undergoing strongulated inguinal hernia operation under general anesthesia in Anesthesiology Clinics of Ministry of Health Diskapi Yildirim Beyazit Training and Research Hospital was presented.
