Abstract
The concept of digital game addiction is one of the most discussed concepts in social sciences. Digital game addiction; It is a concept used to describe excessive, obsessive, compulsive and generally problematic use of video games. Therefore, the concept remains uncertain. Game addiction; It is also used in different ways, such as overuse, uncontrollable use of computer and video games.
The information and communication technologies developed with the globalization process have led to both positive and negative results in human life. Among these negative results, the most striking new addiction types are emerging. Digital game addiction, which is the new form of addiction, especially affects young people and children. Digital game addiction draws attention with the risks and threats it poses on young people and children. In particular, the questionnaire prepared for the symptoms, causes and results of digital game addiction was applied to 400 students in Erzincan after reference to the video game addiction scale for adolescents determined by Lemmens et al. (2009). The data collected through the survey were analyzed in the SPSS 20.0 program. Theoretical framework is tried to be explained through reliability analysis, factor analysis, regression and correlation analysis.
