Mitos ve Tarih: Kitab-ı Mukaddes Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Yahudi-Hristiyan mitolojik kanonu Kitab-ı Mukaddes, çağdaş muadilleri karşısında özgün yapısı itibarıyla çeşitli açılardan tartışılmıştır. Bu makalede Kitab-ı Mukaddes mitoslarının çevre uygarlıkların mitosları ile tarihsel bir biçim alarak farklılaşması açımlanacaktır. Mitosların yazınsal olduğu kadar işlevsel özelliklerinin de dikkate alınacağı bu karşılaştırma ile evrensel tarih tasarımın batı düşüncesindeki dini öncülleri serimlenecektir

Is Transculturalism Possible?

Abstract

The Holy Bible, the mythological canon of Judeo-Christianity is contrasted at length by various scholars with contemporaneous equivalents with regard to its peculiar structure. In this article, we will explore how The Bible differs from myths of surrounding civilizations by means of taking a historical form. Religious premises of the idea of Universal History in western thought will thus be presented via this comparison which makes use of both the literal and functional aspects of myths
