Abstract

Hellenistik dönemle birlikte özellikle Küçük Asya’da kutsal alanların organize ettiği dinsel festivallerde gözle görülür bir artış tespit edilmiştir. Festival süresince açılan panayırlarda hem katılımcıların gündelik ihtiyaçlarını karşılamakta hem de geniş kapsamlı alışverişe imkân vermektedir. Festival boyunca yapılacak harcamalarda tek bir ödeme aracının kullanılması maksadıyla kutsal alan tarafından basılan, üzerinde sadece tanrının adını genetivus hâliyle taşıyan panegyris sikkeleri hem alışverişi kolaylaştırmaktadır hem de festivali organize eden dinsel yapıya, uygulanan döviz kurundan dolayı kar ettirmektedir. Bu çalışmada Tralleis kentinde Zeus Larasios ve Zeus Larasios Eumenes adına düzenlenen festivaller için basılmış olan Panegyris sikkeleri tanıtılacaktır.
