Abstract

Bu makale, edebiyat ile toplum arasındaki ilişkiyi tartışmaktadır. Edebiyat, este-tik bir sanat olmanın yanında toplumsal olayları da konu edinmektedir. Bunun yanında edebiyat, geçmiş ile gelecek arasında bir köprü vazifesi görerek toplumların tecrübe ve bilgi birikimlerini gelecek nesillere aktararak, insanların düşünce dünyalarının zenginleşmesine ve daha iyi bir geleceğin inşasına katkı sağlar. Makale, ilk önce edebiyatın tanımını yapacaktır. İkinci olarak makale, edebiyat ile toplum arasındaki ilişkiyi eleştiren, edebiyatın bireyleri uyuşturan, pasifleştiren, toplumdan soyutlandıran, ütopik hayallerle onları gerçek dünya ve sorunlarıyla ilgilenmekten alıkoyan ve ahlakı bozan bir araç olarak gören görüşleri irdeleyecektir. Son olarak makale, edebiyat ile toplum arasındaki ilişkiyi tartışacaktır. Bunu yaparken, edebiyatın toplumsal olayları değişik zamanlarda nasıl ele aldığı, toplumun sorunlarına nasıl değindiği, bireylerin sosyal olaylar karşısında nasıl tepki gösterdiği, neler hissettiği, kültürleri, inançları ve yaşam tarzları irdelenecektir.
