TÜRKİYE’DE ENERJİ TÜKETİMİ VE EKONOMİK BÜYÜME: ARDL SINIR TESTİ YAKLAŞIMI

Abstract

Enerji günümüzde üretim sürecine doğrudan ve dolaylı olarak katılabilen bir üretim faktörü haline

gelmektedir. Çalışmada Türkiye’de enerji tüketimi ile ekonomik büyümenin hem kısa hem de uzun

dönem ilişkileri ARDL modeli ile 1960-2014 dönemi için tahmin edilmiştir. Sonuçlar kısa ve uzun

dönemde, toplam ve kişi başı birincil enerji tüketiminden ekonomik büyümeye doğru tek yönlü pozitif

ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir nedensellik ilişkisi olduğunu göstermektedir. Politika yapıcıları

ekonomik büyümeyi arttırmak için enerji tüketimini teşvik etmesi gerekmektedir.
