Abstract

Bu makale,eğitim yolu ile köyü/köylüyü içinden canlandırarak ekonomik bağımsızlığa kavuşturmayı ve özgürleştirmeyi amaçlayan Köy Enstitüleri Sisteminde toplum kalkınması sürecini betimlemeye yönelmiştir. Köy enstitüleri sistemi yalnızca öğretmen yetiştiren bir sistem değildi. O,aynı zamanda toplumu bütün olarak gören ve ekonomik,sosyal ve kültürel yönlerden gelişmesini sağlama amacıyla Türk inkılabının ulus temelinde başlamış olan bir Rönesans/aydınlanma ve kalkınma hareketidir. Köy enstitüleri,1946 yılına dek kesim (enstitü bölgesi) incelemeleriyle, köy araştırmalarıyla, örnek uygulamalarıyla kendilerine harcanandan daha fazlasını üreterek toplumsal, kültürel yaşamı etkileyen, ekonomik girişimlere örneklik eden kalkınma merkezleri durumuna girmişlerdir. Ancak başlatılan bu kalkınma,aydınlanma süreci,köyde toplumsal yapının değişmesi, köylünün aydınlanıp uyanması nedeniyle çıkarları bozulanların karşı savaşımı sonunda kesintiye uğratılmıştır.

THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROCESS IN THE SYSTEM OF VILLAGE INSTITUES

Abstract

This article describes the Community Development Process in the System of Village Institutes aiming to revive the villages/villageus from within through education and to provide them with economic independence and freedom. The system of village institutes was not a system which only trained teachers. It was also one which viewed society as a whole and which was launched as a nation-based renaissance/enlihtenment and development movement of the Turkish revolution with the objective of achieving economic, social and cultural development. With their field (the region of institution) and village studies and exemplary practices, the village institutes turned into development center, by the year 1946,which produced more than what was spent for them, which affected cultural life and which served as an example for economic initiatives.
