Although Turkish people were freed from being captive on the victory of National Freedom War which was fought under hard conditions and the path to a national state was paved, the problem of lack of knowledge and inadequate education which caused Turkish people fall far behind the contemporary world had not to be solved yet. This war which was called by Ataturk as ‘hard and dignified’ had to be won. To educate people so that they could be knowledgable, aware of their rights, and be conscious of being a citizen was the founding block of Atatürk’s Populist Concept.
