The Istanbul Yeni Yuzyil University Vocational School Journal adheres to national and international ethical standards in research and publication ethics. The journal is based on the *Directive on Scientific Research and Publication Ethics* issued by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) of Türkiye. The publication process implemented by the journal is founded on the principles of impartial, transparent, and scientifically sound dissemination of knowledge. Peer-reviewed publications contribute to the production of academic knowledge by making the scientific method visible.
The journal adopts a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism and unethical publishing practices. Authors are expected to ensure that their submissions are original, research-based, scientifically contributive, and comply with the journal's publication principles. Authors are also required to declare that they have read and accepted the publication and writing guidelines and that they will comply with the CoHE Directive on Scientific Research and Publication Ethics.
Reviewers are expected to conduct their evaluations in a timely, impartial, and constructive manner within the framework of enhancing scientific quality. Editors are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, conducting plagiarism checks, and ensuring compliance with ethical principles. No fees are charged to authors or their institutions under any circumstances.
**Ethics Committee Approval**
Ethics committee approval is required for all research conducted using qualitative or quantitative approaches that involve collecting data from participants through methods such as surveys, interviews, focus group studies, observations, experiments, or other data collection techniques.
For studies requiring ethics committee approval, information regarding the institution granting the approval, the date of approval, and the decision or approval number must be stated in the relevant section of the manuscript. In addition, the ethics committee approval document must be uploaded to the relevant section in the submission system.
In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law, ethics committee approval is also required for retrospective studies.
