Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is a disorder in which obsessions or difficulties are observed, usually persistent, sometimes accompanied by periodic exacerbations, which significantly affect a person's daily functions. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder affects the whole life of the patient and his family in many ways. Nurses fulfill their professional roles by helping patients and their families adapt to lifestyle changes, preventing discrepancies, and improving coping skill. In this article, nursing care of a patient with obsessive compulsive disorder is discussed.
