TÜRKİYE’DE ENDÜSTRİYEL ATIKSULARDA TOKSİSİTE İZLEME YÖNTEMİNİN ATIKSU PARAMETRELERİ İLE İSTATİSTİKSEL İLİŞKİLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Endüstriyel atıksular, proseste kullanılan hammadde ve kimyasallar ile proses türüne göre çok çeşitli kirleticileri içermektedir. Bu nedenle, bu atıksuların çevresel etkilerini kontrol amacıyla fiziksel ve kimyasal parametrelerin yanında toksisite’nin de izlenmesi yönetmeliklerde yer almıştır. Bu çalışmada, dünyadaki mevcut durum özetlenerek Ülkemizde endüstriyel deşarjların kontrolünde uyulması gereken Su Kirliliği Kontrolü Yönetmeliği’ndeki Balık Zehirlilik Seyrelme Faktörü (ZSF) parametresinin istatistik yöntemler ile analizi yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışma sonucuna göre, belirli sektörlerde ZSF ile bazı parametreler arasında ilişki gözlenirken (tekstil sanayinde KOI-ZSF %17,2; metal sanayinde kadmiyum, çinko-ZSF %100 bağlı), bazı sektörlerde (selüloz ve kimya) anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Kirlenmenin tanımının değiştiği ve öncelikli kirleticilerin deşarj limitleri arasında yer almaya başladığı günümüzde toksisite parametresi ile ilgili durumun da güncellenmesinin Ülkemiz için çevre korunması konusunda acil bir öncelik olduğu açıktır.

STATISTICAL CORRELATION OF TOXICITY MONITORING METHOD WITH POLLUTION PARAMETERS FOR INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER DISCHARGES IN TURKEY

Abstract

Industrial wastewaters contain various pollutants due to the different raw materials and chemicals used in the process. It has been legislatively established that toxicity is a useful and necessary parameter along with physical and chemical parameters for controlling and inspecting the environmental effects of industrial wastewater. In this study, the current situation in the World is presented and the case of toxicity dilution factor (TDF) defined in Turkish Water Pollution Control Legislation is discussed using statistical evaluation methods. As a result of this study, for some industrial sectors, there has been found some significant relationship between TDF and other parameters required in the discharge limits (in textile industry KOI-ZSF % 17.2; in metal industry Cd, Zn ZSF: %100 bound), whereas for some of them (cellulose and chemical) there was no significant correlation observed. For protecting the environment of our country, It’s quite clear that toxicity monitoring emerges an update in the discharge limits, since the definition of pollution has been changed and priority pollutants have been included among discharge parameters.
