INVESTIGATION OF THE POSITIONING PERFORMANCE OF REAL TIME PRECISE POINT POSITIONING METHOD (RT-PPP) IN TERMS OF ACCURACY AND PRECISION

Abstract

   The
increase in the number of Global and Regional positioning systems has increased
interest in GNSS-based positioning methods. Basically, two methods are used for
positioning with GNSS. These are relative and absolute positioning methods and
in recent years studies focused on the absolute positioning methods thanks to
the developed technologies and improved algorithms. For the last 3-4 years,
thanks to real time products of IGS real time service (IGS-RTS), Real Time
Precise Point Positioning (RT-PPP) method is used. In this study, the
performance of the RT-PPP method has been tested. For this purpose,
approximately 1 hour of data for the selected IGS-RTS stations from different
geographical locations was considered. Real time coordinate values were obtained
for 1 second epoch interval using
BKG Ntrip Client
(BNC) v.2.12.6
.
The obtained results were tested in terms of accuracy and precision. The
results show that, when the convergence time is ignored, an average positional
accuracy of around ±10 cm can be achieved with this method. In addition, the
obtained tropospheric delay values (ZTD) were examined in a comparative
approach with IGS troposphere products (IGS Final Troposphere).

GERÇEK ZAMANLI HASSAS NOKTA KONUMLAMA (RT-PPP) YÖNTEMİNİN KONUM BELİRLEME PERFORMANSININ DOĞRULUK VE HASSASİYET BAKIMINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

   Global ve
bölgesel konum belirleme istemlerinin sayılarının artması GNSS ile konum
belirleme yöntemlerine olan ilgiyi arttırmıştır. GNSS ile konum belirleme
anlamında temel olarak iki yöntem kullanılmaktadır. Bunlar bağıl ve mutlak
konumlama olup son yıllarda gelişen teknoloji ve geliştirilen algoritmalar
sayesinde özellikle mutlak konum belirleme yöntemi üzerine çalışmalar
yoğunlaşmıştır. Son 3-4 yıldır ise IGS gerçek zamanlı servisin (IGS-RTS) sunduğu
ürünler sayesinde ise Gerçek Zamanlı Hassas Nokta Konumlama yöntemi (RT-PPP)
kullanılmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada RT-PPP yönteminin performansı test
edilmiştir. Bu amaçla farklı coğrafi bölgelerden seçilen IGS-RTS istasyonuna
ilişkin yaklaşık 1 saatlik veriler dikkate alınmıştır. Gerçek zamanlı koordinat
değerleri BKG Ntrip Client (BNC) v.2.12.6 yazılımı kullanılarak 1 saniye epok
aralığında anlık olarak elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar doğruluk ve
hassasiyet bakımından test edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, yakınsama süresi göz ardı
edildiğinde bu yöntem ile ± 10 cm civarında ortalama bir konum doğruluğunun
elde edilebileceğini göstermiştir. Ayrıca elde edilen troposferik gecikme
değerleri (ZTD), IGS troposfer ürünleriyle (IGS Final Troposphere) karşılaştırmalı
bir yaklaşımla verilerek uygunlukları incelenmiştir.
