Abstract
Gelişen ekonomiye bağlı
olarak otomobil sahipliği gün geçtikçe artmakta olup bireysel otomobil
kullanımı öngörülen beklentilerin üzerinde seyir etmektedir. Bu durum kent içi
trafiğinde kaotik davranışları tetiklemektedir. Toplu taşıma kullanımının
arttırılması bu durumun çözümünde en ekonomik ve etkili bir yaklaşım
olmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda başarılı bir sonuç elde edilebilmesi için mevcut
toplu taşıma kullanımında yolcu davranışlarının ve taleplerinin incelenmesi ve
bu yönde toplu taşıma sistemlerine iyileştirmelerin yapılması gerekmektedir. Bu
çalışma, yolcu talep ve davranışlarını incelemeye odaklanmıştır. Böylelikle
saha çalışmaları ile bir şehirdeki tüm toplu taşıma sistemlerine olan pik
saatteki yolcu talepleri incelenmiştir. Saha çalışmaları için kişi başına düşen
otomobil sahipliği yüksek seviyede olan Niğde ili tercih edilmiştir. Yapılan
çalışmada Niğde ilindeki tüm toplu taşıma güzergâhlarında yer alan duraklardaki
yolcu hareketlilikleri video kamera yardımıyla incelenmiştir. Bu şekilde toplam
9 güzergâh 350 durakta incelemeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda
cinsiyet, yaş dağılımı ve zaman faktörleri doğrultusunda önemli bulgular ve
çıkarımlar elde edilmiştir.
