Abstract
This study aims at revealing prospective teachers' levels of anxiety about misbehaviors. Accordingly, a scale containing 50 student misbehaviors, which prospective teachers can encounter in their professional lives and intending to measure their levels of anxiety about these behaviors was administered to 193 prospective teachers attending Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Education. The 3-grade scale questioned whether total scores of prospective teachers varied significantly according to the variables of gender, teaching type and department. Research findings indicated that prospective teachers' levels of anxiety about misbehaviors did not significantly vary by the variables of gender and teaching type, but on department basis, students of department of computer education and instructional technologies felt less anxiety, though not significantly, when compared to students of classroom teaching and science teaching departments. On the other hand, considering the gender variable, female prospective teachers had significantly higher anxiety when compared to the male prospective teachers.
Abstract
Bu araştırma öğretmen adaylarının istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarından kaygılanma düzeylerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda 193 öğretmen adayına meslek hayatlarında karşılaşabilecekleri 50 istenmeyen öğrenci davranışından oluşan ve bu davranışlardan kaygılanma düzeylerini ölmeye çalışan bir ölçek uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının istenmeyen davranışlardan kaygılanma düzeylerinin bölüm değişkenine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşmadığı fakat cinsiyet değişkeni açısından ise kız öğrencilerin kaygısının erkek öğrencilerden anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.
