Abstract
In literature about teaching of physical geography, on the subject of atmosphere a large number of students have got the false information and misconceptions. In this study atmospheric pressure, which considered the most difficult to understand, because of not having feel senses, is discussed. This study is a descriptive study. In the literature on this subject is intended to identify the misconceptions that students have, in this study to eliminate the misconceptions that Turkish and foreign sources was analyzed by comparing the subject expression. This study would help to address the problems of misconceptions in teaching geography, and is believed would set an example when explaining the concepts of all types of classroom and apply simple tests that can be obtained easily.
Abstract
Literatürde fiziki coğrafya öğretiminde genellikle, atmosfer konusunda öğrencilerin çok sayıda yanlış bilgi ve kavram yanılgılarına sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada soyut olmasından dolayı, anlaşılması en zor kabul edilen basınç konusu ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışma betimsel bir çalışmadır. Literatürde bu konuda yapılan çalışmalar daha çok öğrencilerin sahip olduğu kavram yanılgılarını tespit etmeye yöneliktir, bu çalışmada ise bu kavram yanılgılarını ortadan kaldırabilmek için yabancı kaynaklarla Türkçe kaynaklardaki konu anlatımı karşılaştırmalı olarak irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın, atmosfer basıncı konusunun öğretiminde karşılaşılan kavram yanılgıları hakkında coğrafya öğretmenlerinin farkındalığını arttıracağına, kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesine yardımcı olacağına, ve bu kavramlar anlatılırken her tür sınıf ortamında yapılabilecek deneylere örnek teşkil edeceğine inanılmaktadır.
