SOLUTION OFFERS OF GUIDANCE COUNSELOR FOR UNFAVORABLE BEHAVIORS OF STUDENTS

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the solution offers of the guidance teachers for the undesirable student behaviors mentioned by classroom teachers and branch teacher. It is designed as a qualitative research. 22 teachers in Bolu city centre were included in the research and no sampling was done. As a result, the unfavorable conducts of students were classified under the titles of problems related to lessons and friends, absenteeism, problems related to himself/herself, disobedience to the rules, problems related to the dress, problems related to teachers, and other problems. As a solution to these unfavorable behaviors, the guidance counselors offered the following solutions: approaches of discussing with the family, one to one talk with the student, arrangements related to the way of teaching, seeking the reasons of the behavior, improving some skills of teachers (communication, dealing with the problems, conflict solution, social harmony, controlling oneself, behavioral therapy, cognitive psychology, and cognitive therapy), determining rules, ignoring, negotiation, punishment etc.

REHBER ÖĞRETMENLERİN İSTENMEYEN ÖĞRENCİ DAVRANIŞLARINA İLİŞKİN ÇÖZÜM ÖNERİLERİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; rehber öğretmenlerin sınıf ve branş öğretmenlerinden gelen istenmeyen öğrenci davranışlarına ve bu davranışlara ilişkin çözüm önerlilerine yönelik görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırma nitel olarak desenlenmiştir. Araştırmaya Bolu merkezde yer alan 22 rehber öğretmen dahil edilmiş, örneklem alınmamıştır. Araştırma sonucunda sınıf ve branş öğretmenlerinden rehber öğretmenlere gelen istenmeyen davranışlar; derse ve arkadaşlarına yönelik sorunlar, devamsızlık, kendisi ile ilgili sorunlar, kurallara uymama, kılık kıyafet sorunları, öğretmene yönelik sorunlar ve diğer sorunlar başlıkları altında toplanmıştır. Rehber öğretmenler bu istenmeyen davranışlara çözüm olarak; aile ile görüşme, birebir görüşme, dersin işlenişine yönelik düzenlemeler yapma, davranışların nedenini araştırma, öğretmende bazı beceriler geliştirme (iletişim, problemlerle baş etme, çatışma çözme, toplumsal uyum, kendini kontrol etme, davranışçı terapi, bilişsel psikoloji, bilişsel terapi), kuralları belirleme, görmezden gelme, arabuluculuk, ceza..vb yaklaşımları önermektedirler.
