Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the systematic teaching in the teaching of Life Sciences in the 3rd grade of Elementary Education. In the study, the themes of "yesterday, today and tomorrow" were taught using these two different curricula. For one group, Ministry of Educations' current program, for the other group systematic teaching approach was used. The study was conducted according to the pre-test and post-test control groups' framework. The 48 students from Atilla Primary School were chosen as the study group and the implementation was performed in the 2005-2006 academic year. The results of the study showed that the success of the students in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the students in the control group and more permanently in comparison with the learners in the current teaching.
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, dizgeli öğretim yaklaşımına göre işlenen ilköğretim 3. sınıf Hayat Bilgisi dersinin etkililiğini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada, ilköğretim 3. sınıfta okutulan Hayat Bilgisi dersinin “dün, bugün yarın” temasının kazanımları iki farklı program kullanılarak öğretilmiştir. Araştırma; öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu desen üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubu olarak Ankara‟da Atilla ilköğretim okulundaki 3. sınıflarda toplam 48 öğrenci belirlenmiş ve 2005–2006 öğretim yılında uygulama yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda dizgeli öğretimin yapıldığı deney grubu öğrencilerinin erişi puanları, MEB programının uygulandığı kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin erişi puanlarından anlamlı düzeyde yüksek bulunmuştur ve bu davranışlar kalıcı olmuştur.
