SPA CENTERS AND THE CONCEPTION OF THEIR INTERIOR DESIGN
Abstract
Today's architectural designs have reached an outstanding point in terms of evolution and variety. This evolution and increasing variety, might be explained by the fact that humanity is from now on evolving in a context of cultural diversity, which allows to bring together different theories and ideologies, made easier by fast growing technology,- along with the development of the building sector – and the increasing number of architects and interior architects. In other terms, these evolutions can be considered as being the mirror of human experience applied to architecture and design. The growing interest of customers for SPA sector as well as its fast development permitted to bring constant innovations in this field. In that sense, this study aims at describing the current situation of SPA design in Turkey, by identifying the conceptual elements that influenced the design of SPA Centers' interior. The conceptual elements that influenced the design of SPA Center's indoor elements are described in three parts. The part entitled "SPA Centers" is dedicated to give a definition of the SPA Center, by identifying and describing the rooms that compose it.
