AN ANALYSIS OF THERMAL BEHAVIOR OF MASONRY CONSTRUCTION BRICK UNDER PRESSURE USING INFRARED THERMOGRAPH TECHNIQUE

Abstract

When considered that Turkey is within the seismic belt and approximately 51% of the building stock is made up of masonry construction, it becomes necessary to examine and rehabilitate the existing buildings. The examination methods without damaging construction materials ensure many advantages to implement this process in terms of both time and physical nature. In this study, the brick used with the masonry constructions is examined to find out whether it has a relation between the pressure resistance and thermal behavior using infrared thermograph (IRT) method which is an examination method without any damage. It has been observed that the masonry construction bricks do not produce high temperature due to its nature.

Tahribatsyz muayene yöntemleri hem zaman hem de maddi bakymdan bu i?lemi yerine getirmek için birçok avantajlar sa?lamaktadyr. Bu çaly?mada, tahribatsyz muayene yöntemlerinden olan infrared termografi (IRT) yöntemi kullanylarak, yy?ma yapylarda kullanylan tu?lanyn basynç dayanymy ve ysy davrany?y arasynda bir ili?ki olup olmady?y ara?tyrylmy? ve yy?ma yapy tu?lasynyn yapysy gere?i yüksek ysy üretmedi?i gözlenmi?tir.
