THE CONTROL OF A DC MOTOR BY FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER

Abstract

HAVING DONE THIS STUDY, DIRECT CURRENT (DC) MOTOR WAS CONTROLLED BY FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER (FLC). SINCE THE STUDY INCLUDED ANALYSIS AND PERFORMANCE INCREASE, SIMULATION WAS IMPLEMENTED IN MATLAB/SIMULINK ENVIRONMENT. THE INPUTS OF THE FLC WERE ERROR AND CHANGE IN ERROR WHEREAS OUTPUT OF FLC WAS ELECTRICAL ENGINE VOLTAGE. IT HAS BEEN SEEN THAT FLC IS MUCH MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN PID CONTROL ACCORDING TO THE COMPARISON MADE BETWEEN OUTPUTS OF PID AND FLC CONTROL.
