Abstract

Bu çaly?ma Ti-6Al-4V ala?ymynyn karbür takymlarla kuru ?artlarda yüzey frezelenmesinde i?leme parametrelerinin kesme kuvvetleri ve yüzey pürüzlülü?ü üzerindeki etkilerini ve optimizasyonunu göstermektedir. Deneysel düzen Taguchi metodu kullanylarak belirlenmi?tir. Optimum i?leme parametreleri kombinasyonu sinyal-gürültü orany analizi kullanylarak elde edilmi?tir. Deney sonuçlaryna göre, bile?ke kesme kuvveti ve yüzey pürüzlülü?ü ilerlemenin artmasyyla artarken kesme hyzynyn artmasyyla azalmy?tyr. Hem bile?ke kesme kuvveti (FR) hemde yüzey pürüzlülü?ü (Ra) için optimum kesme ?artlary 180 m/dak kesme hyzynda ve 250 mm/dak ilerlemede elde edilmi?tir.

OPTIMIZATION OF MACHINING PARAMETERS IN MILLING OF Ti-6Al-4V ALLOY USING TAGUCHI METHOD

Abstract

This paper presents optimizing and effect of machining parameters on the cutting forces and surface roughness during face milling of Ti-6Al-4V alloy with carbide tools under dry conditions. Experimental setup was determined by using Taguchi design method. The optimum machining parameter combination was acquired by using signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio analysis. According to experimental results, resultant cutting forces and surface roughness increased with an increase in feed rate, whereas decreased with increase in cutting speed. Optimum machining conditions for the both resultant cutting forces (FR) and surface roughness (Ra) were obtained at cutting speed of 180 m/min and feed rate of 250 mm/min.
