Music and piano education provides important contribution to children's mental development; especially pre-school students. As a result of researches, it has been observed that children who receive piano education are more successful in science and mathematics than the ones who do not. This success inevitably increases when the piano teacher applies the correct teaching technique and the correct piano method. In this research, information related to the learning and teaching methods used in the piano education of pre-school students, piano method preferences aimed at this age level and the quality necessary in a method has been found.
Müzik ve piyano e?itimi, özellikle okulöncesi çocuklaryn zihinsel geli?iminde olumlu katkylar sa?lamaktadyr. Yapylan ara?tyrmalar sonucunda, piyano e?itimi alan çocuklaryn fen ve matematik derslerinde di?er çocuklara nazaran daha ba?aryly olduklary gözlemlenmi?tir. Tabi ki bu ba?ary, piyano e?itimcisinin ö?rencisi için do?ru ö?retme yöntemlerini uygulamasy ve do?ru piyano metodu kullanmasyyla olumlu yönde artmaktadyr. Bu ara?tyrmada da okulöncesi çocuklaryn piyano e?itiminde kullanylan ö?renme-ö?retme yöntemlerine, onlara yönelik piyano metot tercihlerine ve bir metotta aranan niteliklere yönelik bulgular elde edilmi?tir.
