In this study, university student's; approach towards art, the place of music in their life and their way of looking into music, their evaluations about the issue and their overall music profile is investigated. The population is composed only of Yüzüncü Yyl University and sampling of 200 undergraduate students studying in different schools and vocational schools at the same University. The data set in the study is collected through semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher, and the data obtained is evaluated by the help of content analysis performed by the group of experts including the researcher. Based on the findings obtained, it is concluded that; music has an "important place" in the life of university students and it is possible for their success to increase together with a positive effect on their social and cultural life by the help of programme and projects that are applied regularly. Besides, other important findings in the research are; music genres that are mainly preferred by undergraduate students, their expectations and comments about musical-artistic development and their attitude towards national culture and art policies and their recommendations about the issue.

Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, müzi?in üniversite ö?rencilerinin ya?amlarynda "çok önemli" bir yeri oldu?u, planly bir ?ekilde uygulanabilecek program ve projelerle ö?rencilerin ba?arylarynyn artmasy ile birlikte, sosyal ve kültürel ya?amlarynyn olumlu yönde etkilenebilece?i sonucuna ula?ylmy?tyr. Ayryca, lisans e?itimi düzeyindeki ö?rencilerin a?yrlykly olarak tercih ettikleri müzik türleri, müzikal-sanatsal geli?im yönündeki beklenti ve görü?leri, ulusal kültür sanat politikalaryna yakla?ym ve önerileri de ara?tyrmada elde edilen di?er önemli sonuçlar arasyndadyr.
