In this work, a comparative analysis and evaluation from the point of folkloristics will be made between 'Duha Koca O?lu Deli Dumrul' from Dede Korkut Epics and "Dumrul ile Azrail" of Murathan Mungan. Dede Korkut Epics are among the cornerstones of Turkish folk literature, and Mungan is one of the prominent writers of contemporary Turkish literature. The story of Deli Dumrul has a distinct form than other stories in Dede Korkut Epics, which depict the life forms, moral values, traditions and customs of 14th and 15th century Turkish cultural life. In this article, our aim will be, within the framework of a logic of fiction, to present Mungan's alteration and transformation of this story.
