EVALUATION OF FIRE-GUN INJURIES IN 304 CASES
Öz
Legislations make it easy to have fire guns and increase desire to use. Besides media influence to increase fire guns. In our study 304 injury cases caused by fire guns were investigated by retrospective study among 9467 cases approached to Hospital of University of Firat emergency service between January 2000 to December 2004. The cases were evaluated in terms of age, sex, injury area, injured organ, whether caused vital risk and function loss. Our goal was to point out increased number of the injuries and deaths induced by fire guns. If fire-gun injuries are considered that causes death or not, it should be re-evaluated regarding legal easiness in having guns and authorized foundations should increase their control on the media programs that increase the desire on the guns.
