Abstract
Countryman is a type of connection composed to define and classify people who had to migrate from the places where they are born and grown up to other villages by a variety of effects ,according to the geographical regions where they come from. Since the civil society organisations and buerocratic establishments in the places they migrate from don't match with the modern and democratic societies.That's why those who migrate try to solve the problems they face by the help of the nets they establish to cooperate. However, these cooperation nets transform to associations within a period of time. Countryman and the cooperation among the fellowtownsman is a progress whose function and effects have to be searched in detail.

Hemşehrilik doğup
büyüdükleri yerleşim birimlerinden başka kentlere çeşitli faktörlerin etkisiyle
göç etmek durumunda kalan bireylerin, kentte birbirlerini ait oldukları coğrafi
mekana göre tanımlamak ve sınıflandırmak için ürettikleri bir ilişki türüdür.
Çünkü göç edilen kentteki sivil toplum örgütleri ve bürokratik kurumlar modern
demokratik toplumlardaki gibi bir işlev görememektedir. Bu yüzden kente göç
edenler karşılaştıkları sorunları kendi kurdukları dayanışma ağlarıyla çözmeye
çalışmaktadırlar. Ancak zaman içinde bu dayanışma ağları derneklere dönüşmektedir.
Hemşehrilik ve hemşehrilik dayanışması, işlevi ve etkileri çok yönlü
araştırılması gereken bir olgudur.
