Abstract
The mines found in a subdivision of Garbî Karaa?aç named Acipayam, in the borders of Aydin's one of subdivisions, Denizli attracted attentions of not only local enterprises but also foreigners. Thanks to the mine activities in the village, the number of the foreign visitors evidently increased. Yahya Hayati Pasha, the founder of Hamidiye Ship Administration, is one of the entrepreneurs who made big investments to the chrome fields of Acypayam. The family foundation he started went on existing till the Greece invasion. This study on the family administration of this subdivision will put a light the richness of the province through the information gathered from the archives.
Abstract
Aydyn Vilayeti Denizli Sanca?y'na ba?ly Garbî Karaa?aç olarak bilinen Acypayam kazasynda ortaya çykarylan madenler, yerli i?letmecilerin yany syra yabancylaryn da ilgisini çekmi?tir. Kazadaki maden faaliyetlerine paralel olarak 19. yüzyyldan itibaren çaly?mak amacyyla gelen yabancy sayysynda belirgin bir arty? görülmü?tür. Hamidiye Vapur Y?letmeleri kurucusu olan Yahya Hayatî Pa?a, Acypayam krom sahalarynda en fazla yatyrym yapan giri?imcilerdendir. Onun kurdu?u aile i?letmesi Yunan i?gal kuvvetlerinin Denizli önlerine geldi?i syralara kadar varly?yny sürdürmü?tür. Ar?iv belgelerinden kysa tarihçesi verilerek varly?y ortaya konulan madenci aile i?letmesine yönelik bu çaly?manyn, bölgenin sahip oldu?u zenginliklerin de?erlendirilmesine yönelik ayryntyly ara?tyrmalara kaynak te?kil edece?i beklenilmektedir.
