THE DESYGN, MANUFACTURING ANG EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF DRINKING WATER COOLING SYSTEM WYTH THERMOELECTRICAL MODULES

Abstract

In this study, water cooler which uses thermoelectrical modules and has 3 lt water tank, is designed, manufactured, and analyzed experimentally. Thermoelectrical modules which are used in the cooler belong to Tec1-12706 serial. There are 4 modules which are used. Cold surfaces of the modules are directly contacted to drinking water. Thermal jackets are used for discharging of heat from hot surfaces of modules. Modules are parallel connected to each other, and 12 V DC voltage is applied to them. The value of current(4 A) for each module and the temperature of drinking water are measured. As a result of the experiments, the efficiency of the system is determinated as 25%. 3 lt water's temperature was decreased from 20 °C to 13 °C in 33 minutes.
