STUDY ON THE CONTROL METHODS OF ILLUMINATION AND ITS IMPACTS ON THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Abstract
In order to energy policies to be applied important investments are needed. These investments, which vary according to the countries' stage of development, are very important for planning and managing energy. In this study, methods used in controlling illumination and their effects on energy conservation are examined. Control equipments and armature selection for a shopping mall, chosen as an example, having 3000m2 closed area have been done and annual energy conservation which can be achieved has been calculated. Results observed have been compared with the results of traditional illumination method. Finally, investment cost and operating cost are considered and amortisation time of the system is calculated.
