THE HYDROGEN-FUELED YNTERNAL COMBUSTYON ENGYNES: A TECHNYCAL REVYEW

Abstract

In this study; it has been examined the theoretical and experimental studies on hydrogen fueled internal combustion engine. The fundamental properties of hydrogen fueled internal combustion engine have been reviewed. It has been determined that the internal combustion engine fueled with hydrogen has high performance and lower emission than the engine fueled with conventional fuels. Additionally it has been noticed that hydrogen can be used as fuel on internal combustion engines having with simple modifications. However, it has also been noticed that the usage of hydrogen as fuel for internal combustion engine is restricted due to high cost-price of hydrogen.

Bu çaly?mada; yakyt olarak hidrojeni kullanan içten yanmaly motorlar üzerine yapylan güncel deneysel ve teorik çaly?malar incelenmi?tir. Bu incelemede, hidrojen yakyty kullanan içten yanmaly motorlaryn temel özellikleri ara?tyrylmy?tyr. Yakyt olarak hidrojeni kullanan içten yanmaly motorlaryn, konvansiyonel yakytlarla çaly?an içten yanmaly motorlardan daha yüksek performans ve dü?ük emisyon miktaryna sahip oldu?u, içten yanmaly motorlarda yapylacak küçük modifikasyonlarla hidrojenin yakyt olarak kullanylabilece?i ve günümüzde hidrojenin yüksek üretim maliyetinin içten yanmaly motorlarda yakyt olarak kullanymyny synyrlady?y tespit edilmi?tir.
