As an indispensable part of daily life, colours take an important place in economy, art, religion and social life in ancient times. The colours, in which various meanings and missions are attributed to them, are sometimes described as part of a ritual, sometimes a symbol of status and sometimes a healing of a disease. In this study, the colours used in ancient times and their meanings will be examined by looking at the sources and practices of different societies.
